Mark Holden joins the Worldwide team as Global Strategy Director. PHD celebrates its 21st birthday across the network with the launch of the ‘Big Hug’ charity initiative.
2010
Howard Nead joins the Worldwide team as Business Development Director. PHD appointed to the Porsche and Elizabeth Arden global accounts as well as Kraft in the UK, Humana, GSK and Gap in the US and Unilever’s business in China, Taiwan, and India. Andrew McLean joins as CEO of PHD USA. PHD publishes “FLUID: PHD on the rising speed of influence”. PHD’s 70th office opens. PHD ends the year with 9 Media Agency of the Year awards across the network.
2008
Cheuk Chiang joins PHD as CEO of APAC. PHD wins Media Plan of the Year in the US for Discovery’s ‘Planet Earth’. PHD’s 45th office opens.
2007
Mike Cooper, the Chief Executive of Omnicom Media Group Asia Pacific, becomes the new PHD Worldwide CEO. PHD wins Airbus and Nokia Siemens Networks global accounts.
2006
PHD International is launched in London to manage a growing portfolio of regional and international advertisers including Unilever in CEE.
2005
PHD’s international presence in Europe and Asia begins. Hilary Jeffrey joins PHD as Head of EMEA. PHD wins Campaign’s UK Media Agency of the Year again. PHD launches in APAC with Hong Kong and Singapore as its first offices.
2002
PHD’s network expansion begins with office launches in both the USA and Canada.
1998
PHD is named as Campaign’s and Media Week’s Media Agency of the Year. Launches digital specialist division and regional media specialist division.
1996
The rapidly growing PHD UK merges with AMV.BBDO’s media division and doubles in size to over 100 staff.
1993
PHD launches Drum, the UK’s first in-house sponsorship and content arm.

Pattison Horswell Durden (PHD) launches. A new media agency with strategic thinking at its core, The Guardian as its first client and a staff of seven in London.
